This week the Staten Island Real Estate Report puts its umbrella up in the waterfront communities of the South Shore.

Staten Island, while one of the 5 boroughs of New York City, has long been behind a curtain of obscurity when it comes to New York real estate, and frankly just about everything else. No, we don’t have the likes of the Trump or Ratner taking an interest here, but Staten Island’s waterfront is the best to be had in the 5 boroughs. When you combine property size, aesthetics, tranquility, and most of all cost; nowhere in New York City compares. With the help of street view from Google Maps©, some photos, and conversations with folks I had while visiting these locations, you will get some perspective of each of these communities, which you won’t likely find in many places online. 

We’ll start in Great Kills and work our way south. The best part about my report is it just doesn’t feature luxury communities and homes, but homes and communities that are affordable to middle class home seekers. So, this week check back as we take an intimate look at the most hidden waterfront real estate market in New York City, on Staten Island’s South Shore.
