Steve McNair (born February 14, 1973, died July 4, 2009) was a retired NFL quarterback. After 13 years in the NFL, McNair announced his retirement in a press conference on April 17, 2008. He concluded his career with the Baltimore Ravens, but was originally drafted by the Houston Oilers, as the third pick overall in the 1995 NFL Draft. He was found dead in July 2009 in Nashville, TN. Federal court documents filed Friday show that Adrian Gilliam of La Vergne, Tenn., admitted that he sold a loaded 9 mm semiautomatic pistol to McNair's mistress for $100. Nashville police have said the woman, Sahel Kazemi, used the weapon to kill McNair and then herself on July 4.
