Steve Whitmire news, related photos and videos, and reviews of Steve Whitmire performances. According to Wikipedia: Steve Whitmire is a puppeteer with the Jim Henson Company. He has been the performer of two signature Muppets - Kermit the Frog and Sesame Street's Ernie - since the passing of their creator, Jim Henson, in 1990. Characters original to Whitmire include Rizzo the Rat, Foo-Foo, Fraggle Rock's Wembley Fraggle, and Bean Bunny.

The touring exhibition Jim Henson's Fantastic World is at the Atlanta History Centre until January 18th. In conjunction with the exhibit, earlier this month the Centre presented Muppets, Music, & Magic: Jim Henson's Legacy .
