The Running Man

(Alternate title: "Trying to get Johnny Laid") Hopefully, he’s having a massive smash in BWB. Let me explain… First off…let me preface this by telling you that this is a rare semi-serious "Mental Poo" … ...but bear with me… ...I’ll be crapping on someone by the end of it, I’m sure. Anyway… One of my buddies, John, ran the Boston Marathon this past April 21. John is one of the nicest guys I know. If you must know - and you must - he runs for his niece, Lina, who has Leukemia. It’s blatantly... Read Full Story

Welcome to our new school (but no gum please)

Friday’s New Day newspaper in New London, Connecticut , has a heartwarming update on the first day of a new school in the community, the C.B. Jennings Elementary School . The third grade class, taught by Michele Shannon (picured above with her students as they get ready for lunch on the first day of school), got acclimated to the new school, which had hallways shaped not unlike tennis rackets, new purple chairs for their classroom, and a projector, speakers, microwave and mini-fridge... Panda Express | Orange chicken and attention to detail, including discarded gum on the sidewalks

One of AndrewsGumWorld’s favorite you-can-find-almost-anywhere Chinese restaurants in Panda Express , which had its roots nearly four decades ago when Andrew Cherng opened his first Chinese restaurant in Pasadena . The company itself started 25 years ago, and now has more than $1.2 billion in revenue, according to a report in today’s Contra Costa Times (Gum Guy’s favorite newspaper in fifth grade). It’s an empire built on orange chicken (you know what we mean if you’ve eaten there) and... Read Full Story

Managed to complete 17 pages in 4 hours, along with the linkings and screen uploads. A better progress than yesterday where I only manage to complete 15 pages in 4 and 1/2 hours... Read Full Story

My Little Refrigerator

From:  geofffox.com
When my parents moved to Florida nearly a decade ago, I took their little basement refrigerator. After years of service to them, it was placed in the dark behind a set in the studio. I mention it was in the dark, because I was amazed... no, make that disgusted... when I finally moved it to the other side of the studio. It was kicked out of its old spot during remodelling, but is again behind a studio flat. Under the light, years of grunge and God knows what else became obvious. I found... Read Full Story
