Austin Ross tied a career high with 10 strikeouts, and LSU scored seven two-out runs in the seventh inning for a 10-2 victory over Southern in Friday's opening game of the Baton Rouge regional. Ross pitched 6 2-3 innings, giving up all of his runs on Victor Franklin's two-run homer in the first. Reliever Paul Bertuccini got the win for the Tigers. BATON ROUGE — Monroe native Storm Warren took it to the house, so to speak. The 6-foot-7 sophomore power forward from Richwood High posted career highs with 15 points, 12 rebounds and four assists in helping LSU beat Louisiana-Monroe 82-62 in front of 4,700 Friday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in the season opener for both teams.
