Romjulsrally 2009 – Video Highlights

Video footage (uploaded by SubaruNorway) from the 2009 Romjulsrally which was held in Elverum, Norway.

The event is a traditional warm-up for the Norwegian rally championship and was won by Sveinung Bieltvedt, who was driving a TOOLS Rally Team run Group N Subaru Impreza STi. Thomas Kvam finished in second place driving a Ford Focus WRC, 12s behind Bieltvedt.

Favourites Mads Ostberg (Subaru Impreza WRC S9) and Anders Grondal (Subaru Impreza STi) both retired with blown turbos after SS1.

15-times Swedish champion Mats Jonsson dominated the event in his Ford Escort WRC until he was forced into retirement on the penultimate stage.
