Well, a comedian who just happens to be her daughter-in-law! It sounds like the beginning of a bad joke, but comedian Sunda Croonquist’s mother-in-law Ruth Zafrin was not kidding when she filed a lawsuit against Sunda for telling so many jokes about her. Croonquist capitalizes on their ethnic differences in her envelope-pushing jokes - she is half-black and half-Swedish, was raised Catholic, and married into a Jewish family. One year ago on this very day, August 26, comedian Sunda Croonquist was a guest on the Radio Happy Hour . Now, according to multiple news sources, she is being sued by her mother-in-law for making mother-in-law jokes! Sunda Croonquist (abcnews.com) Jokes about mother-in-laws have probably been around about as long as mother-in-laws have been. But for Sunda Croonquist , they may have gone a bit too far. The stand-up is now getting slapped with a lawsuit, after her peeved-off in-laws say she went a bit too far. Croonquist has made them a staple of her set for years, but a recent post on MySpace seems to have given away their real identity.
