The annual celebration surrounding the lighting of the Christmas Tree in RockefellerCenter did indeed happen last night.  A little about the tree first: it’s an 80-year-old, 80-foot high, 50-foot diameter Norway spruce that had been growing in New Jersey.  It’s been decorated with more than five miles of lights (30,000 bulbs) which with the star on top are the only decorations.  After the holidays, the tree is recycled and provided to Habitat for Humanity to build homes for the needy...Read Full Story
