Sylvain Calzati

Sylvain Calzati won Stage 8 in a great race.  A group of 6 riders, including Calzati, took a lead and held off the peleton for a long stretch.  With about 30 KM to go, the peleton was closing in.  Calzati was able to hold off strong pushes by Patrice Halgand and Kjell Carlstrom in order to secure the win.
