The Seahawks made a pretty big free agent splash on Monday, as the team came to terms with Bengals free-agent receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh on a reported five-year deal worth $40 million.
Houshmandzadeh is a solid wide out, catching 204 passes in the last two seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He right away becomes the Hawks number one receiver, as last year Bobby Engram was the top pass catcher with 47 catches.

Our friends over at the National Football Post are reporting that free-agent wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh and the Cincinnati Bengals are close to reaching an agreement on a new contract.
The site states that it’s believed there’s 70-percent chance Houshmandzadeh returns to Cincinnati next season, sources said. An eight-year veteran, Houshmandzadeh caught 92 passes for 904 yards and four touchdowns in 15 games last season.
