HBO Releases First Look At 'Game Of Thrones' Season 8
"Winterfell is yours, your grace."
Sansa won't be the only Lady of Winterfell for much longer.
In a new sneak peek released by HBO during the 2019 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 6, the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones makes a brief appearance. We can't say a lot, but we can say Dany isn't at Dragonstone anymore.
As viewers know, the Night King is hot on the path of destruction and set on laying ruin to civilized society. As of the Season 7 finale, he turned Daenerys' dragon, Viserion, into an ice creature, so it's safe to say his trip time was harshly minimized.
What comes as a slightly bigger surprise is seeing Dany at the Stark estate.
In the second GoT scene in the video, Daenarys and Jon Snow meet Sansa in the north.
"Winterfell is yours, your grace," Sansa tells Daenerys.
Daenerys looks satisfied with Sansa's promise, but knowing Sansa, there's more going on underneath the surface.
Game of Thrones appears at the 39-second mark in the video below.
Last we saw Daenerys and Jon Snow, the two finally made their romance official with an intimate hookup on one of Dany's ships. It was steamy, and TBH, fans waited for that blessed day for years. Unfortunately, the two have no idea they're actually aunt and nephew.
That's right: Not only is Jon Snow a legitimate Targaryen and Daenerys' nephew, but he is the first Targaryen in line for the throne.
Needless to say, Season 8 is about to get messy.
Game of Thrones Season 8 premieres April 2019 on HBO.
