According to a report from Deadline.com, Dwight Schrute and his short-sleeved dress shirts are headed for their own Office spin-off series.

Rainn Wilson, who has played the brown-nosing salesman/beet farm owner on The Office since 2005, has reportedly developed a new show centered around his character that could have a potential midseason 2013 launch. Office executive producer and showrunner Paul Lieberstein (who also plays HR sad sack Toby on the comedy) is involved in the development of the series as well.

“Paul and Rainn have been joking for years about Dwight’s life on the farm, his family and how ill-suited he is to run a B&B,” an unnamed Office source told Deadline. “A while ago, it started to feel like a show to them. NBC agreed, it’s been further developed to include multiple generations, many cousins and neighbors. At its base it will be about a family farm struggling to survive and a family trying to stay together.”

The Office has visited Dwight's beet farm before, most memorably in an episode that featured Jim and Pam staying the night at the Schrute Farm Bed and Breakfast. And Dwight's creepy cousin Mose has been featured on the show several times.

So what do you think? Would you watch the Dwight Schrute show? Remember, he is "faster than 80% of all snakes."

• Never let it be said that Jimmy Fallon doesn't support women in the workplace. In fact, he's getting sued for it. A former stage manager for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon has filed a lawsuit against NBC Universal and Fallon alleging that the show has a gender bias towards women. Paul Tarascio claims that he was demoted when he because according to Late Night director David Diomdi, ”Jimmy just prefers to take direction from a woman.” Tarascio also says that he was eventually replaced by “a less qualified woman” who was “immediately a disaster.”

As a less than qualified woman who is almost always a total disaster, I think it sounds like this guy has a rock soild case.

• Has Revenge inspired a real life romance? US Weekly reports that Emily VanCamp and Joshua Bowman (who play newly engaged couple Emily and Daniel on the hit ABC soap) have taken their romance offscreen as well. US has an "unnamed source," so this juicy tidbit might not be true, but VanCamp does have a history of dating her co-stars; she dated Dave Annable when they were both on ABC's Brothers & Sisters, and she also got cozy with Chris Pratt when they both starred on Everwood.

DVR Watch: 30 Rock brings back Will Arnett as Jack's nemesis (NBC, 8pm), American Idol heads to Texas, where everything is bigger — including the train wreck auditions (Fox, 8pm), The Big Bang Theory revisits Penny and Leonard's romance (CBS, 8pm), Parks and Recreation has the gang competing to see who can raise the most campaign donations for Leslie (NBC, 8:30pm), and 30 Rock airs ANOTHER new episode, thus giving us all Christmas in January (NBC, 9pm).
