In today's roundup of TV news, Selena Gomez is getting back to her witchy ways in a new Disney Channel special. Plus, a Downton Abbey lady might be getting a new man and Doctor Who's new season has a premiere date. Keep reading for all the latest small screen scoop!

Alex Russo is back! It's been more than a year since Wizards of Waverly Place put its wands away, but now the Disney Channel favorite is returning with a one-hour special, The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex.

Mark your calendars: Alex vs. Alex will first debut Friday, March 8 on Disney Channel On Demand and will air on the Disney Channel Friday, March 15 at 8/7c, TV Guide reports. The plot of the special has the Russo family heading to Italy, where Alex (Selena Gomez, who is also executive producing the special) tries to prove that she can be a carefree young witch. She inadvertently ends up creating a "good" and "evil" version of herself and gets roped into a young wizard's plan to take over the world (gosh, didn't he learn anything from Voldemort?). The war between the two Alexes culminates in an epic battle atop the leaning Tower of Pisa.

Are you excited to see those magical Russos back in action? Keep scrolling to check out photos from the upcoming special, which also features Awkward star Beau Mirchoff as a handsome and mysterious wizard who may not be as sweet as he seems.

Downton Abbey Wants a New Man for [SPOILER]
If you haven't seen all of Downton Abbey's third season (airing now in the U.S.), keep scrolling because we're about to drop some spoilers on you. Seriously, we'll wait....

Okay, is everyone ready?

It looks like Lady Mary will, indeed, be getting a new man in Season 4. Dan Stevens, a.k.a. Matthew Crawley, left the series at the end of the third season, and now producers are on the hunt for handsome actor in his 30s to play Lord Anthony Gillingham, a charming new suitor for Lady Mary.

What do you think? Can you imagine Mary with anyone other than Matthew? Do you having a strapping young Brit in mind for the role of Lord Anthony. Sound off in the comments below with your thoughts!

The Doctor Is In
And speaking of premiere dates, Doctor Who's seventh season has got one too. The upcoming eight-episode run will debut Saturday, March 30 on BBC America and will feature the Doctor taking on time travel adventures with his new companion, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman. Press play on the video below to get a sneak peek at the coming season.

Girls Get a Third Season
Don't trust Lena Dunham with your secrets. The Girls star and executive producer let it slip during a podcast with Alec Baldwin that her HBO comedy has already been picked up for a third season. “We’re starting season three at the end of March,” she’s heard telling Baldwin in the recording. “I’m so excited.”

Girls premiered its second season on January 13, the same night that it picked up the Golden Globe for Best Comedy series. Dunham also picked up a Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy series. So basically, Lena Dunham is good at making shows, bad at keeping good news to herself. Not that we can blame her.

Not So Good News for Ben & Kate
Another freshman series has bitten the dust. Fox has pulled its critically adored but ratings challenged comedy Ben & Kate from its Tuesday night schedule, effective immediately. Starting new Tuesday, the network will air back-to-back episodes of Raising Hope until March 12, when Season 11 of Hell's Kitchen will return in the 8pm time-slot. Fox says that it hasn't officially canceled the series, but you don't really pull shows from your line-up when they're succeeding, so it's only a matter of time. If you want to see why TV critics are bummed about the news, you can check out all 13 episode of Ben & Kate on Hulu.
