I will go so far as to say this is probably now my third favorite show on TV, behind Dexter and Dollhouse . I love this show, it’s hilarious, and I think anyone who doesn’t like it is just silly.
We start off with my new favorite Jeff line
I’m like a sprinter, I’m at my best during high speed bursts of wit
If I changed taglines on this site, that would be my new one! But I don’t, I just change them on my Skype, so I put it there instead.
This fabulous line is brought to you by a... Read Full Story
A woman is found dead and thrown down a man hole. Weird. But I guess this is New York, anything can happen here.
Castle is late to the crime scene because just as he’s waking up for the day, his literary agent shows up to tell him that he is maybe going to get the chance to write three books about a certain British Secret Agent. Shut the front door!
Heat Wave is also about to be released, so Castle is intermittently plugging the book release party for it. As I mentioned previously... Read Full Story
This week, we get Uther almost dying at the hands of the Black Knight, and the forging of Excalibur.
I’ma tell you right now, that if a knight dressed in all black with a totally black horse bursts into your party, things are going to go bad. And also, it’s pretty likely magic is involved. Really, if someone burst into my house like that at all, I’d think there was magic behind it.
So of course we get more of Nimueh, who I really like, and we learn a bit more about her. She has the... Read Full Story
The main setting of this episode is the Mystic Falls Founders Party. Do towns really have this kind of thing? Or maybe they go on and I never pay attention. Anyway, everyone in Mystic Falls goes to the party, which is a little weird to me because the town seems so small, and half the people in it are apparently high school students, so I dunno why they want to spend that much more time with each other. But whatev. We open the show with what appears to be a not so good situation for... Read Full Story
Since this show is more character driven rather than the plot, from what I can tell so far anyway, it’s a little difficult to do any kind of summary. I almost feel like I have to focus on each individual character to say what happened to them, as what happens overall is kind of less important.
I was happy to see Star Trek: The Next Generation alumni Colm Meaney as a doctor on this episode. He left Star Trek partway through the show, and although I haven’t exactly sought him out, I did... Read Full Story
As usual, Jeff is trying to find an easy way to get a good grade, he doesn’t want to have to do work! He finds out about this class where there’s no book work, no tests, hardly any homework – the premise is that you must seize the day. He figures it’s going to be easy, and of course the teacher has other ideas…he recognizes Jeff as one of the ones that doesn’t actually believe in the concept of the class and is just looking for an easy way out.
The main plot is Jeff trying to convince... Read Full Story
Man it sucks to find a dead body when you’re in your underwear! I mean, this girl is just throwing away some garbage, no need to get dressed for that, and bam! guy shows up in the garbage chute.
Turns out the guy has both a wife in Connecticut, where he lives, and a fiance in New York, where he works. Sounds like some pretty good murder suspects to me, cuz I’m guessing at least one of them knew that something weird was going on.
While Castle and Beckett are investigating this whole... Read Full Story
In this episode, Johnathan meets with Jim Jarmush and gets a script from him – Jim likes Johnathan’s first novel, and wants him to rewrite this script.
At the beginning of the party, Johnathan makes a comment to a girl who totally brushes him off. Naturally, as soon as she sees him talking to Jim Jarmush, she is in love with him because Jarmush is her favorite director so Johnathan must be super cool, so he goes back to her house with her. He promptly loses the script behind the couch... Read Full Story
I love when instead of taking notes while I watch a show, I am so involved I choose to watch it twice to make sure I don’t miss anything. There are only a few shows in my schedule that I do this with, and Castle is one of them.
There are two murders in this show – a lady is found dead in her office, she was a couples therapist; and an older gentleman is presumably mugged and killed in Central Park.
Naturally, the husband is suspected of his wife’s murder, but has an air tight alibi and... Read Full Story
I will say that this episode was not as bad for me as the first one. It wasn’t my favorite show ever, but it was funnier and had some good quotes too.
The premise was still basically the same – Jonathan still wants to try to get back together with his ex, and while he works a detective case, he is obsessed with her. It’s even funnier when his case intersects with her, making their strained relationship even worse.
I am infinitely frustrated with Jonathan’s seeming inability to have a... Read Full Story
