I didn’t really intend to watch a whole disk when I started out, but it just happened that way. So I watched the final three episodes of the season and of course, I was sad afterwards. Sometimes I wonder why I am watching this show – it’s fantastic, but it makes me sad a lot!
One thing I really like is that they seem to be interested in covering a variety of types of deaths, whether that be gang violence, natural causes, SIDS, guns, or hate crimes. I like that they don’t shy away from... Read Full Story
I did not actually dislike this episode as much as the previous ones. Maybe because this one seemed like it was actually having some fun, instead of being totally serious, broody vampire with family issues the whole time.
I know last time I said I was irritated that every episode was starting with Damon killing someone, and this one started with him eating Caroline, but I didn’t mind it this time. Mostly because there was more too it than just scary monster in the woods and creepy fog... Read Full Story
As the introductory episode, we meet our cast of character: Veronica, the main character, a nurse who was in Iraq; Sonia, the hot nurse friend of Veronica; Chloe, the young girl who just got done getting her masters; Mike, Veronica’s estranged husband; and Chris, the doctor Veronica met in Iraq and fell in love with.
This episode basically does a lot of setting up of their relationships and shows you what kind of hospital show it’s gonna be. Truthfully, I haven’t seen a hospital show... Read Full Story
I may be speaking a little prematurely with this statement, but I kind of think the title of this show is rather apt. I feel like this is the kind of show I should probably like – I’m sure it’s supposed to be a cerebral show and something entertaining for smart people. But I just wasn’t drawn in. I was, in effect, bored to death.
It’s not as though the show sucked…I liked Ted Danson, and the smaller roles by semi bigger actors like Olivia Thirlby and Heather Burns, as well as upcoming... Read Full Story
As one of the 8th grade episodes, this was less fun and more lessony. Although I must admit that I absolutely love Hayley Mills, I always have.
In this episode, we get to learn about the stock market through the mistakes and deceit of Zack Morris. The class invests in some airline stock, but because Zack needs $300 to buy a new video camera, he decides to change the stock over to potatoes. All I can think is mmmm, tasty.
Of course, the market plummets and it’s like this huge disaster... Read Full Story
Oh Morgana, you poor thing.
I actually like that Morgana is having visions and stuff, leading her towards her ultimate future in the Arthurian legend. Things are still happening with some liberties, but I would have been pretty irritated if no mention had ever been made that Morgana is magicy.
There’s a soft spot in my heart for the land of Avalon, but in my remembrance, the people of Avalon aren’t really evil like they were portrayed in this episode. Granted, they are less concerned... Read Full Story
I have never really been a 30 minute sit com watcher. Even the ones that people *really* like, such as Seinfeld, have never really been my kind of thing. Thirty minutes is not a lot of time, and I usually don’t find things funny.
So why did I start watching Community, you must be asking? Or if you’re not, that’s okay too.
The reason is quite simple: Joel McHale. I love The Soup , and when I saw that he was going to be starring in a TV show, even though it isn’t exactly my cup of tea... Read Full Story
Since the show has been off for the summer, and I haven’t seen a whole lot of Nathan Fillion, I kind of forgot how much I loved this character. He makes me laugh basically from the start with things like looking in the glass and saying “I really am ruggedly handsome, aren’t I.” Makes me wish I was a man so I could say it, cuz that is super funny! I might have to find the woman equivalent.
I sadly also had totally forgotten about Castle looking into the murder of Beckett’s mother. How I... Read Full Story
Remember how last week I said the show kind of disappointed me? Well despite that, I found myself really anticipating this weeks episode, to the point where I even asked myself “Is it Thursday yet?”
What I should have done, to satiate that anticipation, was go back and read my review of the first episode. Because while I wouldn’t say this one was any worse, I did not get some fun thrill that made my waiting worthwhile. It’s kind of like those episodes in the RW/RR Challenge where... Read Full Story
A respected prosecutor is murdered, which naturally means there are a lot of suspects since he’s responsible for putting tons of people in jail. It’s another convoluted plot that I absolutely loved, with plenty of questions about who the victim really was and how he became involved in all the crazy things he was doing.
At first the guy seems squeaky clean, but as we see more and more, we find out he was using a call girl service and was way more involved in that than you would ever think... Read Full Story
