I realized earlier this week that I have managed to make it so I will be watching enough weekly TV shows that I’ll have at least one new show for each night of the week. Some of them fall on the same day, like Smallville and Dollhouse are both on Friday, but I still have seven separate shows slated. Because I know you’re wondering, I figured I’d enlighten everyone.
Returning shows:
Dollhouse
Castle
Smallville
Dexter
New shows:
Community
The Vampire Diaries
Bored to Death

Community took a slightly different approach with their Halloween episode – to keep it in the context of the theme of the show, Annie throws a Day of the Dead party for Spanish class, in which everyone comes dressed up. And Senor Chang has to come because Annie is getting extra credit for the party, which he is not happy about.
Their costumes are kind of funny: Annie is a skeleton; Troy is some guy who I can only guess is from the 70’s with that mustache; Shirley is Harry Potter, but... Read Full Story
It’s nice that the show labels the episode numbers itself. Because I didn’t blog about the last few, I forgot what number I was on!
I loved the relationship dynamics David had with everyone in this episode. It’s great to see him relaxing a little and showing the more human side. I think this episode did a lot to show the versatility of Michael C. Hall as well…but I am slightly biased due to my adoration of him.
Also, they made a reference to BTVS in this episode. They quickly... Read Full Story
For the most part, this episode bored me. However, I was thoroughly amused by Eric so I will say that he alone made this worth watching. Calling Arlene’s kids “teacup humans” was one of my favorite moments, and winking at them, lol.
Aside from that, I felt like of course Lettie Mae helped Tara get free, and naturally Lafeyette would be turned by Maryann. My theory is also that she’s going to figure out that Sookie is the ideal vessel, and try to make her into the sacrifice…until Bill... Read Full Story
We got to learn a bit more about all our characters in this episode, naturally. Veronica told Mike some about her time in Iraq; Sonia’s younger brother is involved in drugs and gangs; Chloe has a crush and wants to dress like a grown up.
The episode also starts with a code black emergency. A local club caught on fire and pretty much everyone comes in dead, except one girl that Veronica is able to save. My question is – shouldn’t this club have been more fire friendly? I think they say... Read Full Story
Why all the ‘recycling’ stories are always from Fox is a very strange query – but here’s yet another: The suits in charge of ruining running Fox TV are now preparing a TV-reworking of the High School-angst movie, Heathers.
First released in March of 1989 by Columbia Pictures the ‘crime-drama-romance,’ to quote its PR, gave Christian Slater and Winona Ryder their major film breaks. Now, twenty years of cobwebs have been blown off the story, and Fox’s finest brains [yes, both of them] are... Read Full Story
Wow, who would think that this death, of all the deaths that have occurred on the show, would be the one that really gets me. I cried, I will not lie, when Godric sacrificed himself. I have made no secret of my affections for him, and I’m sure he was written that way on purpose to make us feel this way when his arc ended.
How I wish he had stayed on the show in some capacity. Strangely enough, there are few characters that could have left the show that I would have missed as much as I... Read Full Story
Oh Merlin, Merlin, don’t you understand that Lancelot is going to steal your love away?! Well, two men will, but for now we’ll stick with Lancelot.
And guess who was a total spoiled bastard, as usual, and I loved it! Actually Arthur was kind of nice this time, and for the second episode in a row, went against what Uther wanted him to do. He outright defied him!
The production value was again, not that great. It was really obvious that the griffin was a separate thing from the rest of... Read Full Story
Okay, normally I would be opposed to a resolution that seems to happen so easily. The rescuing of Godric and everyone getting out of the church was so simple, yet I actually loved it. This may be due to my new found love for Godric, it was love at first sight really and it has not faded one bit. I especially love when he says “I am actually older than your Jesus. I wish I could have known him, but I missed it.”
This was again, an episode with a ton going on. But they are managing it... Read Full Story
