The group has gained popularity in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, and other East Asian countries. Currently, it is one of the top pop groups of the Korean Wave.

Trouble Continues for TVXQ Members

It seems there’s no end to a string of troubles facing TVXQ, especially the three members embroiled in litigation with their management company, SM Entertainment. The three members – Micky, Hero, and Xiah – have now been sued by a Chinese company for fraud. The plaintiff is the distributor of CreBeau products in the Shanghai, Jiang Su and Sanxi region. CreBeau is the name of a Chinese cosmetics company, which supposedly have brought in the three TVXQ members into the business as its shareholders. When offered the "Best Face in Asia and South Korea" award, Bae Yong Joon declined it and instead offered it to Jaejoong claiming that Jaejoong has the best face in Asia. According to Bae Yong Joon the best face "should always look handsome whenever you look at them, always look cute, always look pretty, to be chic and always look good."
