So, a while back there was a tag post about 6 classes I would take if I could take any class I wanted. One of the ones I chose was Party Planning. Well..... I think I have just taken the first step in becoming pro!! One of my new favorite sites to visit is "Hostess with the Mostess". Whenever we have a dinner party during the warm months, we like for it to be fun and casual, and always outside on the porch. I found these animal napkin rings at Pier One several years back, and I use them often. I like them because they are whimsical and unexpected, and what is really funny is that almost without fail, our guests will choose where they sit based on the animal that is holding their napkin. We have several azalea bushes that are presently in full bloom, so I decided to take advantage of that and use them for a spring tablescape. I wanted to use clay pots instead of vases, so I pulled out some old ones and decided to paint them. It turned out to be a great project. Items needed: flowering stems in varying lengths clay pots (old or new) oasis acrylic paint disposable sponge brushes moss (Michaels or Hobby Lobby) I started out by painting the pots. Menu Baby Spinach Salad with Honey Bacon Dressing Mushroom Artichoke Soup Best-Ever Brownies I wanted to do a candlelight dinner for Valentines Day and Gil and I both have a busy week ahead of us, so I decided to prepare it tonight.
