Tatiana Better Bring The Crazy Tonight

Someone once said, "the beginning is a very good place to start." That person can suck it because when the great Tatiana Nicole del Toro is brought back to "American Idol" during an episode's closing minutes, that is the only place to start.

Yes, Tatiana, "Idol's" version of Ali Lohan -- they share the same bottle of Eau De Desperation perfume -- was selected as one of the eight contestants who will compete in tonight's Wild Card round. I know. That choice is almost crazier than she is. But I think it's a beyond brilliant idea. Here's why.

If there is one profession that welcomes crazy bitches with open arms -- Whitney Houston Amy Winehouse, Paula Abdul -- it's the music industry. And I stand by what I've said all season long, Tatiana may be effed in the head, but she can sing. So I completely understand what the judges/producers are doing here: exploiting her.

Think about it -- there is no America vote this time, so it's not like she's going to squeak through based on VoteForTheWorst speed dialing. The judges simply placed her in this octet of dreams to draw fans and attention to their little show. Here's hoping the Tatiana who takes the stage tonight resembles the shrill, screaming beeyotch who graced us with her presence during auditions. I have no use for the Xanax'd spokeswoman who showed up for the semi-finals.

As for the seven other souls the judges selected to get a second chance at Idol, I'm a big fan of their choices. Save for Von Smith. His spot should have gone to Mishavonna Henson. But he and Tatiana will be joined tonight by Jasmine Murray, Ricky Braddy, Megan Corkrey, Matt Giraud, Jesse Langseth and Anoop Desai!!

If I had to guess which contestants will snag the last three slots in "American Idol's" Top 12 based solely on how much the judges and the fans like them, I'd put money on Anoop, Ricky and Megan. But they screwed it up the first time, so anything could happen tonight. Especially when Tatiana "might be armed" del Toro is around!
