Former pastor Ted Haggard says his decision to hold prayer meetings in his Colorado Springs living room has attracted great interest from the media. Haggard said Monday he will be holding a press conference before his first prayer meeting Thursday to accommodate requests from media outlets including The New York Times and CBS' "The Early Show." No press will be allowed inside the home, Haggard said, adding, "We don't want to be surrounded by paparazzi." But he said the media is allowed to talk to people before and after the meeting. Ted Haggard, who was dismissed from the megachurch he founded after a man alleged a cash-for-sex relationship with him, plans to lead people in worship again. The pastor told The Gazette he is holding a "prayer meeting" Nov. 12 in his living room in Colorado Springs but said it would also be correct to call it a church. I'm not sure if Ted Haggard still has the homosexuality or not, but it looks like the Lord is calling him again. Just like he did in the mid-80's, Haggard seems to be laying the ground work for starting another church in his home. Ted sent out a tweet earlier this week inviting friends to a "prayer meeting" in their home. Singapore's prime minister said in his National Day speech that "aggressive preaching" by religious groups and evangelizing threaten the tiny city-state's stability. Lee Hsien Loong, a Buddhist by birth, said his education at the island's Roman Catholic High School was an example of how different religions can coexist peacefully.
