Reading that title makes me a little sad. Out of 30 possible positions, finishing 26th overall isn't something to write home about after all. It's no real surprise that I'm feelin' kinda blue, especially considering they only improved a whopping three positions since last year. They, of course, did not make the playoffs either. It's been a long time since I've followed Kings Hockey so passionatly as I have this past season. In fact, thinking now, I don't believe I've ever analysed the team so closely as I did this year. It may have something to with the fact that they were actually exciting to watch this year, or maybe it was the discovery of free online broadcasts of just about anything including hockey, but I certainly followed my boys closely. In several previous posts I mentioned the excitement I have for Teddy Purcell and his involvement with the Los Angeles Kings organization.   Well, training camp opened today for most NHL teams and for the Los Angeles Kings , it was no different and with that Purcell begins his 3rd pro camp. Teddy hit the ice around 11am with Group B and was (as reported by Hammond ) skateing with Oscar Moller at Center and Captain Dustin Brown on Right.  What's interesting to note here is that Purcell was playing the left side, a change from last season.  Of course, it is only day one ...
