Tweet Those who believed that JPP would be defensive player of the year didn’t get their wish; that honor went to Baltimore LB Terrell Suggs. JPP finished fourth behind Jared Allen and Justin Smith. He received 5 first place votes. Disappointing, but still an incredible season and let’s remember: this was only his second season. Plenty of time for awards for JPP.
