Terri Irwin

The American wife of the late Steve Irwin has become an Australian citizen. Wearing her signature khaki and with their two children Bindi and Robert by her side, US-born Terri Irwin affirmed her allegiance to Australia and was granted citizenship of her adopted homeland and presented with a framed engraved certificate. Terri took out the citizenship to honour The Crocodile Hunter star, who was tragically killed aged 44, on 4 September 2006, after being stung by a stingray during a diving expedition off the Australian coast.
