Since last off season when the Dallas Cowboys parted ways with receiver Terrell Owens, they've been looking for their next No.1 receiver. Many thought that top target would be Roy Williams, but instead it is relative no name (before this year) Miles Austin that is producing as the top man in Dallas.

Dallas Cowboys special teams coach Joe DeCamillis (dee-kuh-MILL'-is) underwent an appendectomy and missed Sunday night's game against the Washington Redskins. DeCamillis had surgery at a Virginia hospital. The team said offensive assistant Wes Phillips, son of head coach Wade Phillips, would handle the special teams units.

The Dallas Cowboys finally have a handle on their December doldrums. Now it's time to work on January. The Cowboys returned to the playoffs Sunday night, pitching a 17-0 shutout in their 100th meeting with the Washington Redskins and setting up an NFC East title showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles.  

Some say it came from a team meeting called by Keith Brooking, who says it was a talk from Daryl Johnston. Others credit a passionate speech from third-string running back Tashard Choice.
