Dallas Cowboys special teams coach Joe DeCamillis (dee-kuh-MILL'-is) underwent an appendectomy and missed Sunday night's game against the Washington Redskins. DeCamillis had surgery at a Virginia hospital. The team said offensive assistant Wes Phillips, son of head coach Wade Phillips, would handle the special teams units.
