Tesla White Star
Tesla Motors is all about "exciting" electric vehicles. They're known for high end sports cars, but they also have internal plans to release the Tesla White Star as a more accessible consumer car.
Southern California's Fisker Automotive, which is in very much the same business as the Bay Area's Tesla Motors, is buying a closed GM plant in Wilmington, Del. and converting into a facility for manufacturing plug-in hybrid sedans.
