I have been in the accounting business for 20 years. There are certain qualities that I demand from a calculator, including but not exclusion, are total position, display, multiply position, etc. This calculator is the best yet and I am hoping if something happens to it, which I doubt, it will still be available. Also, your price for two was only 20.00 more that the price quoted at a local retailer for one!! Thank you very much.

Despite some really handy features, the Sharp EL-738 seems to be largely overlooked by consumers. This may be because the manufacturer seems to have made virtually no effort to market the calculator. I personally would not have considered it if I have not been dissatisfied with a competing product from HP that I had purchased several weeks previously. Even then, I had to make a determined effort to research the Sharp, because there is little information available about the product online... Read Full Story
I used the HP12C Platinum for about a year.I lost it. Someone recommended the Victor V12. It looks much nicer. The display is huge compared to the HP. The calculator works the same. The wallet is very nice. I can’t believe how much better this is than the HP for less price.

I bought this calculator b/c the National Board in Examiners of Optometry (NBEO) only allow Texas Instruments 30-series calculators on their exam. It’s a good calculator and does just about anything you need it to for practical uses. I don’t want to be rude, but the previous reviewers weren’t “on the ball” on this one. If you want a solar model, buy one. This exact calculator is available in both battery and solar power. Your fault. To find square roots of a previously entered number, use... Read Full Story

I had high hopes of this calculator being a “real” 48G, maybe with a faster processor running an EMU, but the original case/key design and ROM.
My trusty HP48GX no longer functions properly, the 3, 6, and 9 keys fail to register when pressed.
Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard would join me in my sadness and disappointment at the lack of innovation at HP, and the pathetic replacements offered to the fine 48GX, the lowly, rubber keyed, algebraic entry, plastic faced, 49G and 48GII (both of... Read Full Story
At the suggestion of an experienced Agent, I ordered this calculator and am very happy I did. It performs all the basic functions I need to quickly figure out down payments, monthly payments (including taxes & insurance if I want), different interest rates, etc.The key pads are large enough that I don’t accidently hit the wrong keys – which I really like.My previous calculator was credit card size & too small for my fingers. I still keep the “cheat sheet” it comes with in my portfolio, just... Read Full Story
There’s not too much to say about this calulator – it does the job well. However, There’s really only 4 buttons you use consistantly – Loan Amt/Pmt/Term/Interest. And they do make a calculator that just has those four buttons (plus calculator keys). I don’t know what I would do without mine. If you’re a L/O, you need a mortgage calculator.
