The group, which was founded back in 2001, consists of just two men, guitarist and vocalist Dan Auerbach and drummer and producer Patrick Carney. Their blues rock sound has become a favorite at music festivals across the country, and even in more mainstream media.
The Black Keys (Getty) The Keys' started with a bang, releasing three albums in three years: 2002's debut album
The Big Come Up, 2003's
Thickfreakness and 2004's
Rubber Factory. Reviews were rave, and it wasn't long before they started opening for big-name bands like Radiohead.
Two years later, in 2006, they released yet another album called
Magic Potion, which marked their first single with "Your Touch." Danger Mouse produced their fifth album, 2008's
Attack & Release, which made it to #14 on the Billboard charts.
The band's star is even further on the rise these days, having appeared on
Late Night with Conan O'Brien and
