A lot of anger and speculation has circulated about Comcast and net neutrality lately. The internet service provider serving 14.1 million high-speed customers has drawn criticism for blocking or slowing BitTorrent traffic. Now the FCC has announced that Comcast must stop interfering with the P2P filesharing traffic. As a result of the ruling, many high speed customers are seeking compensation from the ISP. BitTorrent is a protocol for sharing files among a group of users. Haven’t posted in a while and mostly due to the beautiful weather and doing work outside in the yard and trying to get the pool ready for the summer. Even better though, I switched from AT&T DSL to Comcast cable internet and I couldn’t be more happy. With DSL all hat was available where I live was the 1.5Mbit plan and I normally downloaded at 150KB/s. Now with comcast it varies but normally download anywhere between 700KB/s to 1400KB/s. Mariuca tagged me a couple days ago with the following "Complaint Meme," and now I have just the rant for her, so here goes! Please keep an eye out for this email--it will inform you when the change to Comcast has begun and provide ... Read Full Story

Several months ago, Comcast announced their "TV Everywhere" program, which would allow subscribers to view their television programming on the web via Comcast.net, or Fancast.com. Comcast has been testing the service in a few markets since then, and today they've announced that it's going nationwide. It's also now called "xfinity TV", because I guess TV Everywhere just made too much sense. While the name is pretty Comcastic (and not in a good...

My biggest disappointment is that Fancast has removed the links to movies and TV shows available at Netflix, as reported...
