This is the cryptex from the Da Vinci Code. If you haven’t read it/seen the movie, it’s basically a puzzle vault/box. In order to open it you must solve the riddle and spell out the answer correctly. I got the pattern from a magazine called scrollsawer which I found at a local library. The riddle and Buddha on the ends were done on a laser engraver.
