Twice a month, TODAY will induct new members into nutritionist Joy's Bauer's Fit Club. These are determined people who have lost and kept off a significant amount of weight -- 100 pounds or more. When we decide to rid ourselves of belly fat we tend to be in for an uphill struggle. This need not be the case. The biggest mistakes come from not combining abnominal exercises, such as stomach crunches, with the right aerobic activity. You have to make time for forty minutes aerobic activity, prefably swimming, every day for the duration of this rapid weight loss program. This regime will greatly reduce your stomach fat after ten days. In many cases it will flatten your stomach completely. If you have not done exercise for more than three years you must seek medical advice or start a  walking program first for five weeks before you tackle this.This program will take two hours of your time every evening for 10 days. Follow these three essential tips and you will make considerable progress.

1.STOP BEER AND DETOX
Beer drinkers are at a disadvantage as this is a great contributor to stomach flab. For the duration of this program, stop it completely. If you have to drink switch to red wine. Beer drinking tends to go with consumptions of junk food on nights out. Stop junk food completely. Cut out all fizzy drinks and sugar. Drink plenty of water as this will help you get rid of toxins in your weight reduction program. During the day drink green tea. This will quicken your metabolism and sharpen your thinking faculties. In the mornings drink a cup of freshly squeezed lime and warm water.

2.EXERCISE PROGRAM
Day 1. Stretch for ten minutes and take a thirty minute fast walk. Place both hands on your forehead, lie on your back and do ten stomach crunches. Drink water.
          Take a thirty minute swim. Butterfly and freestyle crawl are both effective for the stomach. So is backstroke. After your swim, do another ten stomach                  crunches.
Day 2. Stretch, take a thirty minute fast walk and do twelve stomach crunches. Swim and finish off with another twelve stomach crunches.
Day 3. Stretch, do a thirty minute faster walk and do fifteen stomach crunches. Swim and finish off with another fifteen stomach crunches.
For the next seven days increase your stomach crunches by five and include twists- touching opposite knees with the opposite elbow as you come up.

3.CHANGE YOUR DIET
As you start your rapid weight loss program change your diet. Include apples, salads, potatoes and pastas. Take red meat only twice during the ten days and substitute this with fish and chicken. Eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits. Only drink fresh orange juice and avoid all sugar products. Drink plenty of water. Oatmeal is a good source of energy and it will burn cholesterol. All brans, pulses, brown rice and wholemeal breads should be included in your diet.

Keep this up for ten days then rest for three to four days. With the right combination of a rapid weight loss program you will make considerable progress. After three bouts of ten day exercises you will see the effects on your stomach fat will be considerable. In many cases the fat will disappear completely. Take the time to follow the regime and you will see results.
