Always start stitching from the center of your fabric. To find the center on your fabric, fold the fabric in half twice. The center will be at the intersection of the two folds.

His health deteriorated in the last two years and being hospitalized in National Cardiovascular Center in capitol Jakarta was his routine --well, the best was bimonthly-- since last Ramadhan. After successfully stitched the simple pattern Masjid, my niece asked her mother to give her another simple pattern to work on. So, here they are: the simple designs she loves very much. The patterns only using black and white threads (DMC no. 310 and 5200 or you can use Anchor no. 403 and 1), and only 17 by 24 centimetres in finished design size. Assalaamuallaikum.
Our free pattern this time is potrait of Ka'bah. When first time my sister Wein saw the picture, she told me that the man sitting there was just like our brother. Well, if it were newer picture we would think it was our brother when he went for hajj in 2004. LOL
I made minor adjustment by changing the sky on original picture with our own creation. For us, it looked nicer and we hope you see it like we do ;)

This time, our free cross stitch pattern is still very simple one. This new baby mostly stitched in blocks of color. For 14ct fabric, the finished design size is about 10.22" by 10.22" (you can use the cross stitch calculator on right sidebar for precise size). I stitched the pattern using Anchor cotton threads, but if you prefer to work with DMC, dont worry, I include DMC substitute for the threads on the pattern.
