The Panama Review

The weather has changed in Boquete, it is summer and the sun is shinning. It is funny how different the same place can look with under the cleansing light of a bright day. I have passed the 4.5 year mark as a resident here and in both retrospect and under the glaring light of todays sun, things have changed a great deal. I missed the dedication of the new walkways around the Central Park in Boquete Panama. I missed the Cabalgata, the horse parade. I missed the night torch parade but I did make it the the marathon Independence Day Parade in Boquete. I was reluctant, too many people, too much traffic , to much rum and seco. I was told the President of the Republic of Panama was there, if so I missed him too, but it would explain why the new tourist walkways were done on time, or close enough.
