Will Pope Benedict accomplish a peaceful accord on his first trip to the Middle East today, this Friday-or any time after? The Pope expressing his respect for Islam and hopes that the Catholic Church could be a force for peace in the region as he is treading carefully (like walking on eggs ) following past missteps with the Muslims and Jews . It was only a matter of time before Father Funes, director of the Vatican Observatory, was asked the pressing question about alien life form and, if one “believes,” does that make them a sinner. As it turns out the answer is yes and no, respectively.
