This is a place for posting haiku on just about any topic. Make it funny. Make it serious. Just make it a poem that is 5 syllables in the first line, 7 syllables in the second line, and 5 syllables in the last line. That's the requirement: fit the structure of the haiku 5/7/5 rule.

We talk today about our free-ranging youths, marvelling how our moms (and mums) would send us off in the weekend mornings or summer days and never begin to wonder where we might be until it was time for dinner. If they were enablers, as my mother certainly was, they would help in the preparation of our all-day absences, packing bag lunches and changes of clothing and towels for the pool or the sprinklers or the creek.
