The 'Jedward' twins were on Sunday voted off the X-Factor, prompting a sigh of relief from bookmakers across the country. John and Edward Grimes, identical twins from Dublin, were forced into yet another singoff on Sunday, this time pitting them against 25-year-old Olly Murs, after a weekend vote by the programme's 16.6 million viewers left the acts in the bottom two places. Judge Dannii Minogue had the decisive vote after Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole both opted to keep Murs. Mentor Louis Walsh was the only one to back the pair, who have provoked both love and loathing in equal measure since the latest ... Read Full Story

The pair, 18 and dubbed Jedward, sang Boyzone's No Matter What, but without a dance routine or any gimmicks. Olly, one of the show favourites, said he was "a bit gutted" to be in the bottom two after the public vote. But his performance of Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight was too good for the brothers and all the judges bar their mentor Louis Walsh voted them off. The twins kept their smiles as they were voted ... Read Full Story

Jedward was booted off The X Factor after a nail-biting heat that saw the judges almost lost for words. The Irish twins’ rendition of Boyzone’s No Matter What was lacklustre and lost out to Wonderful Tonight performed by Olly Murs. Dannii Minogue cast the deciding vote on Jedward, saying: “I’m going to have to judge it as I’ve judged it the whole time. On the premise that it’s a singing competition, I will have to send home John and Edward.” The twins’ rendition of the Britney Spears hit Oops, I Did It Again was delivered by the red-suited twins, who [ Read More ] ...
