By Alicia Dennis on
(Getty Images | Facebook)This week's most wonderful musical offerings are framed, as always, with helpful comparisons to other artists and sometimes 80s fantasy movies, because I'm cool like that. Enjoy.1. Future Islands + The NeverEnding Story = Bear Mountain's "See You Through"Apparently this song has been around for a year or so but I just discovered it today and it makes me happy in a distinctly nostalgic and highly emotional way, so there. LISTEN: Thom Yorke Unveils a New Solo Track 'Honey Pot'

By Lani Conway on
Thom Yorke and his Atoms For Peace bandmate Nigel Godrich stopped by Los Angeles' KCRW radio station to debut a never-before-heard solo track by the Radiohead frontman. Although the album was first released as a digital download in MP3 and WAV format, Radiohead later offered it as a physical CD and 12" vinyl on March 28. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, which is noteable mainly because the band is British. Like the majority of their albums...Read Full Story

Radiohead Raises More Than Half a Million for Haiti in Single Show

By JJ Duncan on
With celebrities pitching in left and right to help victims of the Haiti earthquake, British rockers Radiohead did what they could by holding a surprise benefit concert at a very small (for them) venue Sunday night. After auctioning off tickets at a minimum of $475 each, the band raised a staggering $572,754 at the Music Box/Henry Fonda Theatre, which lists its capacity at 863 seats. To put that in perspective, Radiohead regularly sells out performances at venues such as the Hollywood...Read Full Story
