Sources Say Tila Tequila Was Jealous Over Shawne Merriman Foursome Invite

Anonymous sources are now saying San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman's only crime might be his lack of tact.

Channel 10 San Diego spoke with unnamed sources who say Tila blew up when Merriman went into his bedroom with 2 other women early Sunday morning and invited her in for a 4-some. The sources told Channel 10 that's when Tila Tequila (real name Tila Nguyen) flew into a rage, threatening to sleep with a member of Merriman's entourage before stripping naked and heading for the door.

When Merriman tried to stop Tila from getting in her car, that's when she called 911 and accused Merriman of choking her and throwing her to the ground. She signed a citizen's arrest warrant accusing Merriman of false imprisonment and battery. Both are felonies.

Tila has claimed that she couldn't have been drunk because she says she is allergic to alcohol. The allergy will likely be tested if the case progresses.

Merriman was arrested early Sunday morning and bailed out a few hours later. He said in a statement that Tila was drunk, and he was attempting to stop her from driving. A court date has been set for next Tuesday, but so far the DA has not filed charges. If the DA has not decided on whether charges should be filed by next Tuesday, the appearance will be rescheduled.

While Merriman has been tight-lipped about last weekend, Tila has been telling her fans her side via Twitter. "I mean....first he says Im drunk...now he says Im jealous cuz he was having threesomes, I mean...get it together with those stories! LOL," she wrote Thursday.
