Tim Gunn Is a Superhero

Marvel Entertainment has given us so many heroes in the past, from Spider-Man and the Hulk to the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. Now the comic giants are entering into new territory with "Models, Inc.," a miniseries focused on crimes of fashion.

Some characters in the series (out August 26) will be familiar faces: Hellcat alter ego Patsy Walker and Spider-Man flame Mary Jane Watson, to name a couple. But the best new appearance in the series will be Project Runway's beloved Tim Gunn, who borrows Iron Man's suit of armor to become an action figure.

Here's the premise of the story: When the set designer of a runway show is murdered, Millicent Collins, or Millie the Model, becomes the leading suspect in the case. It's up to the rest of the models-slash-superheroes, including Gunn, to clear her name.

For his part, Tim is thrilled. "I’m not certain of the particulars of how I’ll be portrayed, but I’m really excited about it,” he said. “To say I’m a character in a comic book is wild!"
