Bus Beheading Prompts Greyhound to Remove Ads

Greyhound will be scrapping its recent ad campaign extolling the virtues of its relaxing bus rides.

Posters for the ad campaign read "There's a reason you've never heard of 'bus rage.'"

Following the beheading of Tim McLean at the hands of Vince Weiguang Li, Greyhound spokeswoman Abby Wambaugh says she understands why people would be bothered by the ads. As of yesterday, the bus company was reportedly still removing some of the posters.

"Greyhound knows how important it is to get these removed and we are doing everything possible," Wambaugh said. "This is something that we immediately asked to be done last week, realizing that these could be offensive." (More from the Associated Press)
