On Election Day, I thought it would be fitting to re-run my post in memory of Tim Russert, host of NBC’s Meet the Press and influential political commentator who died in June. Veteran NBC journalist Tim Russert died today from a coronary embollism after suffering from a heart attack. Russert was recording voiceovers for Sunday’s “Meet the Press” broadcast when he collapsed. He was rushed to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, where resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, said Russert’s physician, Michael Newman, who said the cause of death was not immediately known. Political smart-man, Tim Russert, died suddenly of a heart attack today in Washington DC where he was working in NBC's Washington bureau.  He collapsed while recording voice overs. DC Fire tells TMZ the call came in at 1:41 PM ET. They said they transported one adult male patient in cardiac arrest to Sibley Hospital where he died.
