Who?

We, like alot of fans, didn't and maybe still don't get that Tebow is "polarizing." We linked to the Tebow Crying page yesterday morning to try and illustrate that point. But by late afternoon the comments on the site had devolved into something we won't try and describe here. So we apologize for that, we know alot of you come to this site because you consider it family friendly, and we do try and honor that. So here's a story which illustrates that point again, but in not such explicit... Read Full Story
Below is a long recap of Saturday's game and reaction to Tebow's performance and tears by the Palm Beach Post's Dave George. It is interesting how the press, even sympathetically, deals with the issue of Tebow's tear versus the fans' reactions. (We've posted a long excerpt, but the story is even longer. Click on the link above for the whole story.) Commentary: Don't jeer Tim Tebow's tears — the greatest Florida Gator earned every one Of all the roars of celebration that bonded Alabama fans... Florida quarterback Tim Tebow , who won the 2007 Heisman Trophy, added the academic equivalent of the storied award on Tuesday night. Tebow was named the 20th winner of the William V. Campbell Trophy at The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's awards dinner. Though Tebow, a Heisman finalist, may not take home the stiff-armed trophy this Saturday, he will leave New York with a 24-inch, 25-pound bronze trophy that honors players for academic and football success as well as... Incredible man. Passionate. Winner, even when he looses. "Wild at Heart", a man's man, and God's man. Thank you Tim Tebow, for four incredible years, like me or my family have never seen the likes of. May God continue to pour His Blessings on you and yours. And be man enough to leave your heart on the field. Some of us, CAN handle that. 15 After everything is said and done, people who hate -hate and people who encourage- encourage. I truly enjoyed your grandmothers wisdom "that anything... Read Full Story
ATLANTA – Remember when Nick Saban was a liar?
That’s what the critics called him, anyway, when he assured the Miami Dolphins he wasn’t going anywhere, and days later ended up in Tuscaloosa in an Alabama cap.
Remember when Nick Saban was a magazine cover example of perspective run amok?
That was the charge, anyway, when the public found out Alabama was paying him $32 million to try to beat Auburn.
Remember when Nick Saban was controversial?

1 Corinthians 1:27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. Non-Gators, and even Christians who don't like or watch football, don't really get all the fuss over Tim Tebow. And really, does writing verses on eye black and wearing them in a game... Read Full Story

Hopefully we've all had a decent night's sleep, and the disappointment of the Gators' loss is starting to fade. And hopefully we can help put some perspective on it. Dan Shanoff, of the TimTeblog, had a great piece this week which explored the various reasons Tebow came back for his senior season, and we think it's worth reviewing one more time: Why did Tim Tebow come back to Florida for his senior year? A leading theory: Google juice. A quick track of the trending searches on Google after... Read Full Story
