Tippi Hedren news, related photos and videos, and reviews of Tippi Hedren performances. According to Wikipedia: Nathalie "Tippi" Hedren is an American actress with a career spanning six decades. She is best known for her role in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds and her extensive efforts in animal rescue at Shambala Preserve, an 80-acre wildlife habitat which she founded in 1983.

With a fire raging just a mile away, actress Tippi Hedren and her dozens of lions, tigers and other large cats are staying put on the Shambala Preserve north of Los Angeles. Hedren, who starred in Alfred Hitchcock's 1963 classic "The Birds," was ordered days ago to evacuate her home on the preserve, along with her 64 felines. On September 14, 2008. The Jules Verne Festival Celebrated the 45th Anniversary of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" with Tippi Hendren as the celebrated guest. Held at The Edison in Downtown Los Angeles, guests were treated to a q&a; with Tippi and moderated by Ben Mankiewicz. Tippi Hendren along with the Jules Verne Festival board members Frederic Dieudonne and Jean Christophe Jeauffre make their way down to the main floor of The Edison. Actress Tippi Hedren, who adopted Michael Jackson's two tigers at her Los Angeles area preserve, is urging animal lovers to mourn the late King of Pop by helping captive big cats. Hedren, best known for her roles in Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" and "Marnie," took in Jackson's tigers Thriller and Sabu in 2005 as the pop icon's life unraveled and he gave up his private zoo at Neverland.
