Todrick Hall Charms 'Idol' Judges with Personalized Song: Lyrics Inside

American Idol fans were treated to an up-and-coming star last night who just might blow up after being sent to Hollywood this season. At 24, Todrick Hall already has an impressive resume that includes singing, dancing, and choreography.

Most notably, Hall was recently in the touring production of a musical adaptation of The Color Purple that had him performing alongside Idol's season three winner, Fantasia Barrino. Idol judge Kara DioGuardi mentioned the role as she said hello to Hall during his Dallas audition, which included guest judge Joe Jonas.

For his audition, Hall went the always-risky route of performing an original song he'd written specifically for the occasion. Well it's risky if you happen to be the "Pants on the Ground" guy. In Hall's case he proceeded to charm the four-judge panel and was unanimously sent to Hollywood.

Here's the song Hall sang. I might not have the verse breaks just right, but you get the idea.
Todrick is my name
And I'm here to play a part in your game
Hopped a plane, took a train
Just to claim my 15 minutes of fame

And to see Kara decked and dressed
Simon's face lookin' so unimpressed
Sitting there like a bump on a log
Randy what I gotta do to be your dog

Tell me do I have to dress up like I'm from
A crazyhouse, or sing like William Hung
For you to see
That there's some potential in little old me

And tell me do I have to get down on my knees
In my $300 jeans, cuz I would
If it meant to me that maybe you could
Just send me to Hollywood
