EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Giants co-owner John Mara demanded change after a disappointing season and coach Tom Coughlin is delivering, starting with his coaching staff.

New York Giants co-owner John Mara demanded change after a disappointing season and coach Tom Coughlin is delivering, starting with his coaching staff. Coughlin fired defensive line coach Mike Waufle on Wednesday afternoon, three days after the season ended and just two days after Mara said that the play of the defensive line was one of the team's biggest disappointments in an 8-8 season.  

Bill Sheridan is the Giants' defensive coordinator for the remainder of the season, for better or for worse. Tom Coughlin made that clear Monday when he was questioned about Sheridan's performance and his job security.  

Tom Coughlin didn't reveal his Christmas wish list, but if he had, he might have had a healthy Corey Webster and Aaron Ross on it. Coughlin's two best cornerbacks are doubtful for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
