Sixers vs. Orlando: Do You Want Larry Brown Back?

By highlite15 on  From reclinergm.com
As you can see I am completely ignoring this final game and moving on to off-season discussion.  Not because it doesn’t have significance.  It does. It represents the culmination of the abomination that the Philadelphia 76ers franchise put us through this season. It’s also the final game we will have to look at “the donk” Eddie Jordan roaming the Sixers bench. It also could be the end of  of Mr. Stefanski as well. In sum, it’s an ending and a beginning for the Sixers.  Both are great...Read Full Story

Sixers Coaching Candidates: Tony Dileo

By highlite15 on  From reclinergm.com
The word is Ed Stefanski will be meeting with Tony Dileo this afternoon to discuss the season and more importantly Dileo’s future - head coach or back to the front office. UPDATE : Dileo is out.  Withdrew his name for the head coach position .  Good job. I will come right out with my opinion of the situation - In no way should Tony Dileo remain as the Sixers head coach . I’ve read posts and articles about the pros and cons of retaining Dileo on the bench.  We the only, only PRO (not a...Read Full Story

76ers end season without Miller, Ratliff

 From ap.org
Andre Miller's ironman streak for the Philadelphia 76ers does not extend to team meetings. The veteran point guard who has played an NBA-high 530 straight games no-showed the Sixers' final team meeting on Friday, a possible sign that the unrestricted free agent has no intention of re-signing with Philadelphia. At the final roll call of the Sixers' season, center Theo Ratliff joined Miller on the unexpected absentee list. Both veterans are unrestricted free agents and the no-shows at the team...Read Full Story

Philadelphia 76ers interim coach Tony DiLeo has withdrawn his name from consideration for the permanent coaching job. Sixers general manager Ed Stefanski said DiLeo decided Monday to return to his old job in the front office, citing family reasons. DiLeo has two sons — T.J., a freshman who plays for Temple's basketball team, and Max, a sophomore in high school. "A coaching job in the NBA is 24-7," Stefanski said. "He felt it was a good move on his part." Stefanski said the search for a...Read Full Story

Miller, Ratliff skip 76ers' final meeting

 From ap.org
Andre Miller and Theo Ratliff have skipped the final Philadelphia 76ers' team meeting a day after they were eliminated from the playoffs. Miller and Ratliff were both absent from Friday's meeting. Neither player offered team president Ed Stefanski an excuse. Stefanski says he has not been in touch with either player. Miller and Ratliff are both unrestricted free agents. Ratliff criticized the Sixers' coaching staff after their 114-89 Game 6 loss to the Orlando Magic. Sixers coach Tony DiLeo...Read Full Story
