You can't beat the price but it has its shortcomings. First, I'm on the small side and find this vacuum kind of heavy. I'm also in the camp that finds it noisy. The cord could be a little longer so you don't have to keep unplugging and plugging it in. The attachments are on the short side, too. But, boy, does this machine suck. It's almost industrial strength. The problem is, you have to be very careful that it doesn't chew up area rugs which is what I have. Then on the hardwood floors it turns into a disappointing vacuum. I would recommend this vacuum as a good value for someone who has wall-to-wall carpeting and the strength to use it. It sure doesn't lack power. Unfortunately, I'll be finding a new home for this one and will continue to look for a vacuum that suits me better.

I bought one of these back in May 2007. Here it is October 2009, and not a single problem. It works great just like it always has. It brushes our trampled carpet up so it looks like new. It sucks up the dirt. It's easy to push around. The hose is permanently connected at one end, and all you have to do is yank the free end loose, use it, and stick it back where it was. All the attachments stay where you can get at them. The bags are readily available. It's cheap. Buy this thing. Now. You will then be happy.

This vacuum is great for the price and rated near the top in consumer reports. They did say that Hoover's have a historically bad reliablity. Shipped quickly and exactly as described.
