Top 10 Ways To Save On Fuel Costs!

Fuel, Petrol, Benzine, Car Juice, Diesel…….whatever you call it - has become a major issue.

I’m pumping petrol at £1.20 a litre!! - when i started driving it was around…£0.69? i think. - So almost doubled in 4 years!!

So we thought, as caring individuals who not only want to look out for the environment, but also want to benefit your pockets! So we thought we would come up with our Top 10 ways to save on Fuel Costs!!

1. Pump up your tyres

under inflated tyres increase resistance which increases fuel consumption

-fitting thinner tyres will improve fuel efficiency because they decrease

rolling resistance. Get yourself some Low-Pro’s.

2. Reduce the weight of your car

Stop giving lifts to fat people.

3. Regurlarly change your car oil

4. Chip your enginge.

Usually done to increase power, it is now being said that it increase fuel

efficiency! Sometimes up to 16%! This will increase your car’s power therefore you need to watch out so ou dont end up using MORE fuel, relax your right foot!

5. Buy a fuel efficient vehicle!

simple - just buy a diesel or electric car.

6. Avoid High speeds

7.Keep Revs low

Keep it between 1,500 to 2,500 and you should be fine.

8.Drive smoothly

Accellerating and decelerating (braking) is what uses the most fuel. So trying to beat someone off the red-light, or trying to reinact a scene from Fast and Furious, probably isnt a clever idea when trying to save fuel costs.

9. Don’t use your air conditioning.

10. Use public transport

Basically just give in, stop driving, and get on the the great british smelly, overpacked, sauna-like trains! - or get on the buses which will double your journey length for £2 without an oyster card!!

We hope you’re going to put our practices to some good use, and hopefully this will save you money!
