I have to agree with previous reviewer Mr. Martinez. I am not a particularly picky eater, and enjoy my packaged foods as much as the next guy, but this stroganoff was a gooey, sludgy mess. The disgusting "real beef" was processed, pressed, and formed, and had the look, smell, and texture of dog food. I had to throw it out. Save your money! I If you need to save time, you can use Betty Crocker's Hamburger Helper Stoganoff and add fajita strips instead of ground beef. If someone told me I'd be reviewing and raving about a cookbook I would have laughed out loud. Every recipe I have prepared from this book has been a success, both from my side and my family's. (I have a fussy nine year oldand a plump husband.) I ordered this product 3 months ago and there was a problem.You open up the box that says "Teriyaki" but you find "Sweet & Hott" packages instead.Amazon told me Sorry and to try again later.I told them the manufacturer (Pemmican) made a mistake and Amazon should get it taken care of.I figured 3 months would be plenty of time for this to be sorted out.But as you can tell, it hasn't.My order which came 2 days ago, is once again "Sweet & Hott".Wow! I've cooked with Damon Lee Fowler's other books, like Classical Southern Cooking, and the recipes come out great. I made the shrimp and grits from Savannah Cook Book, and it is tasty! I've reviewed about a dozen others, and they are gonna taste just as good-I can "taste" a dish fairly well, from reading its ingredients and steps and know if its balanced, and for me. Dana Carpender has done it again with The Low-Carb Barbecue Book. I really have to say this is the book to have to create delicious, healthy summer foods! Grilling is of course just about perfect low carb food - it involves fresh fish, fresh chicken, and lots of fresh vegetables.
