Congressional Candidate Paul P. Partyka: Congress Must Focus On Small Business, Jobs to Rejuvenate the Economy

WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. --- Former Winter Springs Mayor Paul P. Partyka, who is challenging the incumbent for the Democratic nomination in the 24th Congressional District seat that covers most of Seminole, Volusia, Brevard and east Orange counties, said the national economy will rank as the biggest single issue voters will decide in the 2010 elections and focus must be on small business and new job creation.

“Small business is the lifeblood of the American economy and small business has been overlooked so far in the effort to rebuild the U.S. economy,” Partyka said.

Partyka, a commercial real estate broker and managing partner of one of the region’s largest developers of smart industrial facilities, said the national economy motivated him to run for Congress in 2010.

“The U.S. is in dire straits and people are hurting right now,” Partyka said. “It is likely the economy will improve somewhat by next November, but a Congress that works together to solve our problems could substantially increase the pace of that recovery and that’s what I intend to fight for,” Partyka said.

Small business tax relief, tax incentives to spur small business job creation, expansion of small business incubation and local “economic gardening” programs and more small business lending are the most important policies the Congress can pursue, Partyka said.

“Americans have the determination and the know-how to generate a vibrant economic recovery,” Partyka said.
