Giovani Dos Santos has confirmed that he will be playing for Tottenham Hotspur next season and cited the fact that Juande Ramos being the coach as the main reason. The 19-year-old told reporters after a friendly between Argentina and Mexico that he had agreed to move to White Hart Lane and had turned down Manchester City. Barcelona and Tottenham have agreed an initial fee of just €6m for the player that was considered to be one of the hottest prospects at Camp Nou just two years ago. That figure may rise to €10m depending on clauses being activated in his contract, but the news ... Read Full Story

Champagne bottles, unrestrained joy and belligerent drunken tantrums are the greatest way to celebrate victory. Just ask Tottenham Hotspur capitan Ledley King. He was bounced from a club called Faces (cleverrific) last night for taking his jubilation to the next level. That means not being able to walk after you've drunk too much of the crunk. Captain Ledley King was said to have "gone berserk" after being thrown out of Faces nightclub in Essex when he became too drunk to stand up. In a series of scuffles, the 27-year-old player grappled with bouncers as he tried to force his way back in. Seemingly oblivious ... Read Full Story

It was one year ago today that current Tottenham Hotspur head coach--and former Sevilla FC head coach--Juande Ramos was knocked the funk out by a bottle thrown from a Real Betis fan during a Copa Del Rey match in Spain. Ramos' noggin has healed well and he's gone on to bigger and better things in England. And now, a Spanish judge has ruled that the genius who threw the bottle should pay 3,500 in fines and is accountable for 275 in compensation to be paid to Juande Ramos. That's, like, $550 for getting KO'd and humiliated in your home country! Not a bad day ... Read Full Story

Also known as the understatement of the day. Or, if you prefer, the Tottenham drama special: "Things could have been done different and better."-- Daniel Levy , in letter to Tottenham Hotspur supporters, on the team's recent turmoil, particularly the sacking of Martin Jol. Read Full Story

There is that thing that Sir Alex F Word does when his team plays badly - instead of considering the poor quality of the performance (as the Lord Wenger did openly and honestly after the defeat in Portugal) the manager of Manchester Bankrupts rails and rants about the referee. Since he refuses to be interviewed by almost anyone these days, his railing and ranting is just run as a statement in the media that kow-tow to his every word, and that’s the end of that. It is not a very edifying approach, and one would only expect individuals and organisations of the lowest level ... Read Full Story

Darren Bent returns to White Hart Lane today following his transfer to the North East this summer. The Black Cat will be crossing Harry Redknapp’s path for the first time since his departure, and some of Spurs' more superstitious fans might be dreading the return. The English striker, sold for £10m, has been on electric form this season. Bent has scored eight Premier League goals in 11 appearances for his new employers. Despite this, the stats...
